At the EUHA 20205 in Nuremberg, the fair and congress participants were exchanging about the topics of training, the future of the industry and technology and how to shape the future of EU Hearing Aids in Europe, particularly with regard to “AI in the software testing of medical devices as hearing aids”.

AI has long since found its way into the hearing aid industry. Before market entry the MDR is to be fulfilled. A strict testing of its software components is required. As this is done my automated processes AI or, more specific, Agentic AI enables a new step in SW testing.
In my recent presentation entitled “Agentic AI in MDR,” I spoke about “Agentic AI in MedTech Approval.” These “agents” not only automate and accelerate test scenarios, but also find and test additional scenarios. Together with MicroGenesis Ltd., a company from Bavaria and India, we joined forces to described how AI is changing software validation and compliance in accordance with the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and to accelerate safe and ISO-compliant product development.
